The Sin Sity Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, SON Studios and QVegas Magazine announce a call for entries for Project Nunway Las Vegas. The original Project Nunway was created by Sister Baba Ganesh of the SF House and inspired by the late Fellini Fim “Roma” and Bravo’s Project Runway as an annual fashion fundraiser that pairs Sisters with designers to create a high fashion look based on a theme—but these couture outfits are constructed from recycled materials. This year’s contest, a first for Las Vegas, will be themed Seven Deadly Sins, Vices, and Virtues. Hosted at SON Studios, the event will raise money for the Sisters’ AIDS Drug Assistance Program and bring public awareness to up-and-coming designers, design and fashion students, and avant garde local designers. Since 2007, the Sisters have paid over $600,000 back to the Las Vegas community through their fundraising events. Project Nunway: Seven Deadly Sins, Vices, and Virtues will be held in October. Designers, students and artists will fight for the Top Designer Award, Top Student Designer Award. The always outrageous Sisters from Las Vegas and around the US, along with guest models, will be draped in original designer creations and take to the fashion runway in a show that celebrates extravagance, outrageousness, and thought-provoking imagination and visionary prowess.
