Miami, Fla., August, 2016 / -- Wynwood Brewing Company (WBCo.) has been looking forward to celebrating its third-year anniversary block party on Saturday, August 20 for quite some time. In light of what’s happening in the neighborhood regarding Zika, they have unanimously decided to reschedule their celebration. There’s too much uncertainty at this early stage of development, and WBCo. felt the need to put people’s safety first. They have rescheduled their event for Saturday, December 10, 2016.
“The CDC and our government have done a great job at keeping us informed. They are taking the necessary precautions to eradicate this problem, so that we can continue to have a neighborhood that’s bustling with people and culture,” said Luis G. Brignoni, co- founder at Wynwood Brewing. As per Wynwood BID, people are encouraged to know the do’s and don’ts regarding protection, and WBCo. supports this effort. In the meantime, it will remain open for business. Their production schedule will not change, and their taproom will also be open during regular operating hours.
Brignoni added that they apologized for any inconvenience this postponement may have caused, but their reason for doing so far outweighed their need to celebrate. WBCo. looks forward to celebrating their three-year anniversary on Saturday, December 10, where they’ll have plenty of beer, food trucks and great music!
