Boston Pride is an occasion held in Boston, Massachusetts that pays tribute to and embraces the lgbtq+Q+ community. Traditionally it takes place during June to coincide with the Pride Month celebrations, which commemorate the historic Stonewall Riots of 1969 in New York City. Since its establishment in the 1970s Boston Pride has flourished into one of the prominent Pride events throughout the United States.

At the heart of Boston Pride lies its parade. The parade showcases an assortment of floats, performers and community groups as they journey from Copley Square to City Hall Plaza. Following the parade is an anticipated Pride Festival at City Hall Plaza. This festival offers a range of vendors, delicious food options and captivating live entertainment that guarantees a day filled with enjoyment for all attendees.

In addition to these flagship events Boston Pride hosts an array of engaging activities throughout Pride Week. These include happenings like the energetic Youth Dance and the lively celebration known as Pride Day @ Faneuil Hall. Festive block parties such as Back Bay Block Party and JP Block Party also provide opportunities for merriment. Furthermore cultural gatherings like panel discussions, workshops and film screenings cater to interests, within both lgbtq+Q+ communities and their allies.

The coordination of Boston Pride is overseen by an organization called Boston Pride Committee Inc.
Their goal is to create spaces that cater to people of all ages, races and backgrounds allowing them to celebrate and embrace the lgbtq+Q+ community. The organization is committed to fostering an environment advocating for rights and increasing visibility for the lgbtq+Q+ community.

Every year Boston Pride chooses a theme that reflects the social and political climate. This theme guides the design of materials. Sets the atmosphere for various events during Pride Week. Previous themes have included ideas like "Unity in Diversity " "Reflecting on Our Past Embracing Our Future " and "Embracing the Rainbow Resistance."
