About this place It Bar

It Bar sits at the foot of the Croix-Rousse hill on Montée Saint-Sébastien, a short walk from the Presqu'île gay cluster. Open only on Friday and Saturday nights from midnight to 4 am, it is one of the very few remaining dedicated gay clubs in Lyon. The soundtrack is unapologetically 80s and early 90s — Madonna, Whitney Houston, Prince, Michael Jackson — and the crowd arrives knowing exactly what it is coming for. Opened in December 2011; a survivor in a city where clubs have struggled post-pandemic.
