Travel Guide
Everything worth knowing before you go.
Nice is the queen of the French Riviera — a sun-drenched city of baroque architecture, palm-lined seafront and a blue sea that lives up to every postcard. The third-busiest airport in France (after Paris) makes it one of the most accessible gay destinations in southern Europe. The LGBTQ+ scene centres on Vieux Nice (the old town) and the streets around Place Garibaldi, with the iconic Promenade des Anglais providing a gay beach section and a stage for some of Europe's most glamorous people-watching. Monaco is 20 minutes away by train, adding an upscale dimension to the scene.
