Gibus Club is the closest thing Paris has to a flagship gay nightclub, situated on Rue du Faubourg du Temple in the 11th arrondissement, fifteen minutes' walk from Le Marais and a very different experience from the terrace bar culture of Rue des Archives. The venue holds around 900 people across multiple dance floors, a Playroom for those who want more than dancing, VIP sections, and a smoking area that serves the function of most outdoor terraces. The weekly roster covers most bases: Bitch Party on Fridays is the high-energy pop/electro option; Menergy on Saturdays is the classic house/disco night; Orgy Night, BBB, and the Scandal afterparty cover the more sexually-oriented and fetish-adjacent programming. The club draws a predominantly male crowd, and the production values are significantly higher than the Marais bars — proper sound system, proper lighting rigs, and the sense of an operation that takes the clubbing experience seriously. Worth the ten-minute walk east from Le Marais once the terrace bars have run their course.
