The Kreuzberg facility occupies a large footprint in Eisenbahnstraße and provides the full range of modern gay sauna facilities: a heated swimming pool, Finnish dry sauna, Turkish steam room, gym, maze of darkrooms, private cabins (by hourly rental), a lounge area, and a café operating throughout the day. The 24-hour Friday and Saturday operation makes Steamworks the default after-hours destination when the clubs close — it is common to find queues forming at 6am on Saturday and Sunday mornings as club-goers transition from Berghain or other venues. The weekday operation is significantly quieter, drawing a more local, less tourist-oriented clientele. The Kreuzberg location — easy access from the U1 Görlitzer Bahnhof — puts it adjacent to the bar and club scene rather than separated from it. Entry is standard for Berlin: a locker or cabin included in the entry fee, with towel available for rent. The facilities are regularly maintained to a standard that justifies the pricing.
