Edinburgh Pride Mardi Gras 2026

Edinburgh Pride Mardi Gras is Scotland's capital's annual LGBTQ+ Pride event, held in June. The parade draws approximately 25,000 people through the city centre with a festival village at the end point. Edinburgh Pride has a distinctive character shaped by the city's Festival culture — more arts-oriented and performance-focused than many comparable events. The event includes community programming, exhibitions, club nights at GHQ, CC Bloom's and other venues across the city, and special Fringe-adjacent queer cultural events.

Gay Edinburgh — Your Complete Guide

Everything worth knowing before you go.

Edinburgh's LGBTQ+ scene is concentrated in the Broughton Street area of the New Town — known as the Pink Triangle — a cluster of bars and cafés within walking distance of each other. CC Bloom's is the longest-running gay venue in the city; Regent Bar is the neighbourhood local; Planet Bar and Street serve the more contemporary end of the market. The Edinburgh Fringe in August generates significant queer cultural programming alongside the commercial scene. Edinburgh Mardi Gras in June draws 25,000 people through the city.
