Travel Guide
Everything worth knowing before you go.
Antalya is Turkey's main Riviera resort city and one of the Mediterranean's busiest tourist destinations — the gateway to a 600km coastline of beach resorts, ancient ruins and Blue Flag beaches. The LGBTQ+ scene is minimal and largely dependent on international tourist presence; there are no dedicated gay venues in the city proper. The tourist infrastructure (international hotels, beach clubs, the cosmopolitan Kaleiçi old town) creates a relatively tolerant environment for international visitors compared to inland Turkey, but this is visitor-economy tolerance rather than community acceptance.
