 ew people before the weekend\\, this event is a welcoming space to connec
 t before Pride!\\nWhat to expect&nbsp\\;\\nWe’ll&nbsp\\;have a relaxed 
 drop-in style space where you can come and go throughout the evening.&nbs
 p\\;There’ll&nbsp\\;be time to chat\\, make new connections\\, get crea
 tive\\, and enjoy some refreshments.&nbsp\\;\\nSpeed mixing\\, 7:30pm–8
 :30pm: A friendly\\, optional activity to help people meet new queer fri
 ends. We’ll provide cue cards with suggested questions and talking po
 ints\\, so you don’t need to worry about small talk. It&#8217\\;s lik
 e speed dating\\, without the dating! If you’d like to take part\\, p
 lease arrive by 7:30pm. \\nPlacard making:&nbsp\\;Get creative at our pl
 acard station\\, with cardboard\\, pens\\, paint\\, and inspiration avail
 able to help you make something to take with you to Pride.&nbsp\\;\\nBoar
 d games\\, card&nbsp\\;games&nbsp\\;and puzzles\\nRefreshments:&nbsp\\;Ve
 gan food and soft drinks will be available.&nbsp\\;\\nWho is this for?&nb
 sp\\;\\nThis event is&nbsp\\;aimed at&nbsp\\;people who are attending Pri
 de for the first time\\,&nbsp\\;or&nbsp\\;people who may not know anyone 
 else going\\,&nbsp\\;but&nbsp\\;it’s&nbsp\\;also open to&nbsp\\;anyone 
 who would like&nbsp\\;to connect with others beforehand.&nbsp\\;You’re 
 welcome to come by yourself\\, with a friend\\, or with a group.&nbsp\\;\
