DESCRIPTION:We are excited to host local rockers Wonderland Rejects\\, Ho
 llow Minds\\, and Gusset LIVE at El Rio!  This is a benefit show for The 
 Transgender District https://transgenderdistrictsf.com/ 's Riot Fund!  Gu
 sset is a set of four dykes split between San Jose and Oakland. Coming fr
 om wildly different musical backgrounds\\, they’ve found common ground\
 \, taking inspiration from riot grrrl and other punk influences. Powerful
  basslines and loud percussion fueled by queer frustration drive the ener
 gy home.  After escaping Wonderland\\, (the happy illusion so many often 
 cling to as a means of looking the other way when their neighbors are in 
 danger)\\, Wonderland Rejects played their first show a few days after th
 e 2024 election. From there\\, they've been establishing themselves as a 
 riot grrrl band fighting the Red King with music and community building. 
  Alice and Dolly (guitarist/vocalist and bassist\\, respectively) both pl
 ayed music through the 2010s\\, eventually working together in the now-de
 funct Feminine Urge in the early 2020s. Around this time\\, Kitty began h
 er music journey\\, putting several hours of practice every day into her 
 drums until she was ready to team up with Alice and Dolly to form Wonderl
 and Rejects. Drawing inspiration from many different eras of music\\, inc
 luding: the first half of the 20th century Blues era\\, the queercore sce
 ne of the 80s\\, the grunge era of the 90s\\, and the pop punk era of the
  00s\\, they believe in honoring the giants whose shoulders they stand on
