  the Pride in Ageing programme at LGBT Foundation and Dementia Disco invi
 te you to a relaxed Sunday-afternoon celebration of music\\, memory and L
 GBTQ+ communities to mark Manchester Village Pride weekend. All activitie
 s are free and drop-in on the day\\, except the Dementia-Friendly Disco (
 free advance tickets available here due to limited capacity).\\nHear comp
 oser Vivian Cheung’s&nbsp\\;What remains dear&nbsp\\;sound installation
  on loop from 1-4pm in the&nbsp\\;Derek Jarman Pocket Park (located outsi
 de at the Mosley Street Entrance of the gallery). This recording of a pie
 ce for piano\\, handbells and electronics explores the concept of ‘real
 ’ chronological time and LGBTQ+ visibility from the 1960s to today. Hea
 rd alongside live instruments the piece samples field recordings from cur
 rent day LGBTQ+ spaces\\, cassette tapes\\, snippets of poetry and the vo
 ices of LGBTQ+ residents of Greater Manchester taken from recordings for 
 the LGBT Foundation archive at Manchester Central Library.\\nTap your toe
 s or show off your best moves at the Dementia-Friendly Disco space open f
 rom 2-4pm. A line-up of LGBTQ+ community DJs will be backed with archive 
 video projections. Hear their selections of uplifting pride anthems from 
 across the decades in an accessible and lower-volume\\, low-sensory space
  with plenty of seating. Dance\\, hangout for a while or grab a free juic
 e or hot drink. Presented with thanks to Dementia Disco and North West Fi
 lm Archive. Booking required for this activity due to limited capacity\\,
  free advance tickets are available here.\\nJoin a tour of artworks at th
 e gallery at 3pm exploring pieces related to LGBTQ+ history from Manchest
 er Art Gallery’s collections. Meet at the Information Desk at 3pm. \\nT
 here will also be an LGBT Foundation info stall in the atrium for the dur
 ation of the event where you can find out what’s going on and pick up i
