DESCRIPTION:We welcome L’Rain\\, the musical project of multi-instrumen
 talist\\, composer\\, producer and curator Taja Cheek. Operating at the i
 ntersections of art\\, music\\, film\\, fashion and cultural discourse\\,
  Cheek’s sensibility\\, crafted in collaboration with Ben Chapoteau-Kat
 z and Andrew Lappin\\, transcends disciplines\\, blurs traditional genre 
 boundaries and deconstructs pop tropes. The 2021 album Fatigue garnered c
 ritical acclaim including album of the year from The Wire\\, and in May 2
 026\\, L’Rain recorded a live album and concert film at Walker Art Cent
 er in Minneapolis. Cheek was guest curator of the 2024 Whitney Biennial a
 nd currently is the artistic director of Performance Space New York.\\nDo
