SUMMARY:Watery Walk with the SLO Beaver Brigade - California
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a guided tour of beaver habitat on the Salinas Ri
 ver in Atascadero! Together we will walk to a section of the river where 
 beavers live. A member of the SLO Beaver Brigade team will share informat
 ion about beaver biology and behavior\\, how to identify signs of beaver 
 activity\\, and the many ways that beavers benefit our ecosystems. But mo
 st importantly\\, you'll get to immerse yourself in the beautiful\\, lush
  habitat created by this keystone species in the middle of our arid count
 y.This event will involve walking on a sandy\\, uneven trail through the 
 riverbed. We will also be walking in water\\, which may reach above your 
 knees in some spots.We ask folks under the age of 18 to please register t
 hemselves and an adult to accompany them.Parking: Parking is available al
 ongside side the road near the trailhead. No bathrooms.Pets: While we lov
 e pets\\, we ask that furry friends who are not service animals remain ho
 me on this adventure. Tell them we said hi!Hike: Less than 1 mile\\, arou
 nd 50 ft elevation gainCost: This event is completely free to access! We 
 welcome donations of any amount\\, which help us continue to provide thes
 e programs. We appreciate your support and your contribution!Bring: Wear 
 warm layers and sun protection! We will be walking through water that may
  be up to knee-deep\\, so wear sturdy sandals\\, water shoes\\, or other 
 footwear that can get wet. Walking sticks are encouraged for added stabil
 ity.Masks are not required during this event\\, however they are welcomed
  if wearing one allows you to better engage with the group. PLEASE be min
