 derful ways to deepen our observations\\, knowledge of\\, and connection 
 to ʻāina. Together\\, we will slow down to observe the unique landscape
  of Lyon Arboretum and build a shared &#8220\\;word palette&#8221\\; of p
 hrases\\, images\\, and ideas inspired by our surroundings. Using this co
 llective vocabulary along with guided writing prompts\\, participants wil
 l explore poetry and creative writing inspired by the beauty of nature. N
 o prior writing experience is necessary—all levels are welcome.\\nBy pa

  Instructor\\nD. Kealiʻi MacKenzie is a queer Kanaka ʻŌiwi poet who be

 hat it is accessible to everyone at every level. A former facilitator wit
 h the community-based organization Pacific Tongues\\, he has facilitated 
 writing workshops across Oʻahu and as far away as Papua New Guinea. Keal
