Each session\\, the group reads and discusses f our writers’ submissions\\, and for every piece\\, the instructor prepa res an individual craft lesson—the one element she believes will most h elp that piece take its next step forward.\\nThis is workshopping in the traditional model\\, with three things added. Every writer receives detai led\\, line-level editing and concrete revision strategies. Feedback lead s with strengths\\, naming what each piece is already doing well before o ffering where the greatest opportunity lies\\, because writers revise mos t effectively from their best work\\, and often don’t yet see what that is. Feedback is framed as craft questions—what is this scene asking fo r\\, where does the work want to build—so that writers leave with direc tion they can act on.\\nWeekly Structure\\nEach class session will includ e:\\n• Four custom craft lessons drawn from the pieces under discussion \\, applicable to all\\n• Collaborative workshopping of four participan ts’\\; submissions\\n• Scene-writing practice and supportive read- alouds of new work\\n• Q&\\;A on craft and technique\\nWhat Writers Will Gain\\n• Personalized\\, craft-based feedback on their work in pro gress across the full term\\n• Custom craft lessons matched to each wri ter’s specific needs\\n• Detailed\\, line-level editing and clear\\, actionable revision strategies\\nCourse Outcome\\nBy the end of the term\ \, writers will have a confident sense of their strengths and their clear est opportunities to grow\\, and a set of scene-writing tools they can re turn to.
