SUMMARY:Making Work From Lived Experience: Exploring Grief &#038\\; Loss
DESCRIPTION:This workshop invites participants to explore how our lived e
xperiences can become a starting point for making theatre. Through playfu
l\\, practical and reflective exercises\\, we’ll explore ways of transf
orming personal memories\\, feelings\\, stories and fragments of experien
ce into creative material for performance.\\nWith a particular focus on
grief and loss\\, we’ll consider how these experiences might be explore
 d through the body\\, voice\\, movement\\, writing &amp\\; text\\, and in
the compositions we create.\\nWe’ll look at how we can shape\\, fictio
nalise and transform lived experience.\\nThis is a theatre-making worksh
op\\, not a therapy session. I am not a therapist or counsellor\\, and th
e workshop is not intended to provide therapeutic support. We will approa
ch grief and loss through a creative and artistic lens\\, with care and r
espect for individual boundaries. There is no expectation to share anythi
ng that you don’t want to\\, and you are always free to step back from
an exercise or work from imagination\\, observation or fictional material
instead.\\nThe workshop is open to different levels of experience.\\nCom
e ready to play\\, experiment\\, reflect and make.\\nAbout the facilitato

ates workshops for professional artists\\, students and young people\\, s
pecialising in areas such as devising\\, performance\\, immersive and int
eractive storytelling and acting for screen.\\nThis workshop is part of a
n Arts Council-funded project surrounding STARDUST Starring Star Dust (I
 n Person)\\, a comedy\\, clown\\, cabaret\\, theatre show Kat has been de
