  this year\\, the ride is part of the show. Grab your bike\\, your scoote
 r\\, roller skates\\, or your favorite walking shoes and get ready for Ma
 dison’s most joyful Labor Day tradition\\, now with more ways to move\\
 , explore\\, and connect.\\nNew this year: community group rides hosted b
 y Motorless Motion\\, Machinery Row Bicycles\\, and RAR\\, which will dep
 art from Motorless Motion\\, Machinery Row\\, and Brittingham Park (respe
 ctively) &#8211\\; and rotate together through all three performance loca
 tions throughout the day. Whether you’re a seasoned cyclist or just dus
 ting off your cruiser\\, the rides are a fun\\, low-key way to experience
  the full festival\\, catch every performance\\, and explore Madison’s

 y. From Flamenco to Hmong dance to American Contemporary\\, groups like B
 reckenridge Scottish Highland dance\\, Dansu Company and Crew\\, Madison 
 Circus Space aerialists\\, Soulful Charmers\\, and Indiannatya Dance Comp
 any bring together performers ranging in age from 7 to 77. Just as Madiso
 n&#8217\\;s bike paths wind through neighborhoods as distinct as SASY\\, 
 Marquette\\, Monona Bay\\, and Greenbush\\, connecting green spaces as va
 ried as Wirth Court Park\\, McPike Park\\, and Brittingham Park\\, this y
 ear&#8217\\;s festival moves through an equally rich landscape of movemen
 t traditions\\, cultures\\, and generations. Every stop on the route offe
 rs something different and every performer on that grass has a story that
  is woven into the fabric of this city.\\nCheck out this stunning array o

 ng Gears transforms Madison’s parks and bike paths into a living\\, bre
 athing stage. This Labor Day\\, audiences at Wirth Court Park\\, McPike P
 ark\\, and Brittingham Park can get a little exercise\\, soak up the city
 ’s best green spaces\\, and witness a stunning array of local dance &#8
 211\\; all completely free.\\nBeyond performances\\, Shifting Gears is a 
 full-day community celebration. Family-friendly activities include bike-d
 ecorating\\, sidewalk chalk\\, and mini lessons in social and folk dance 
 forms. Each set at every park location will close with a participatory so
 cial or folk dance &#8211\\; a chance for audiences to learn something ne
 w\\, get moving\\, and soak up the final days of summer together. At the 
 end of the day\\, join performers and community at the Working Draft Beer
  Company for our Fin de Fiesta celebration with drinks (non-alcoholic too
 !)\\, food truck\\, raffle\\, community dance party\\, &amp\\; more!\\nAm
 enities such as porta potties and shade umbrellas will be back thanks to 
 SASYNA. Attendees are also encouraged to bring their own shade umbrellas\
 \, picnic snacks\\, and blankets\\, sunscreen\\, bug repellent\\, and any
  other goodies they might need to enjoy a full day of dance and the outdo
 ors.\\nAdmission is free and no tickets are required &#8211\\; just show 
 up\\, ride\\, and enjoy dance. Shifting Gears is made possible by the gen
