DESCRIPTION:The Board of Directors meets regularly to provide strategic g
 overnance\\, fiduciary oversight\\, and organizational leadership for the
  Milwaukee LGBT Community Center. Board members are expected to come prep
 ared\\, having reviewed all meeting materials in advance\\, and to active
 ly participate in discussion and decision-making.Board Attendance Expecta
 tionsPursuant to the Milwaukee LGBT Community Center Bylaws\\, the Board 
 of Directors holds a minimum of nine (9) regular meetings annually. Direc
 tors are expected to make Board service a priority and attend meetings co
 nsistently. Under the Bylaws\\, a Board member may be removed for:Missing
  two (2) consecutive Board meetings without advance notice\\, orMissing f
 our (4) scheduled Board meetings during a calendar year.The Milwaukee LGB
 T Community Center understands that life happens. Emergencies\\, illness\
 \, family obligations\\, and work commitments occasionally arise. If you 
 are unable to attend a scheduled Board meeting\\, please notify Board lea

 Milwaukee LGBT Community Center will host a joint Holiday Party on Tuesda
 y\\, December 8th\\, 2026. More details will be forthcoming. Staff Atten
 danceAttendance at Board of Directors meetings is required for all Milwau
 kee LGBT Community Center staff unless otherwise directed.Board meetings 
 are considered an organizational priority and should be reflected accordi
 ngly in staff scheduling.Should the Board of Directors enter into Executi
 ve Session\\, all staff members with exception of the Executive Director 
 (Unless requested to excuse themselves by the Board President) will be ex
 cused.Staff who have a scheduling conflict due to official Milwaukee LGBT
  Community Center business\\, approved Paid Time Off (PTO)\\, or illness 
 must notify Ritchie T. Martin\\, Jr. in writing prior to the scheduled Bo
