DESCRIPTION:Llull Machines is a collaboration between painter Danil Gertm
 an and sound artist Grundik Kasyansky  (Tennota\\, Grundik + Slava\\, St
 araya Derevnya). Old friends and occasional bandmates\\, they both took 
  part in the performances and publications of the kraut-folk collective S
 taraya Derevnya. Grundik and  Danil formed Llull Machines when they real
 ised how similar their tools and strategies were when it  came to live p
 erformance. \\nTheir shows combine real-time digital animated drawing an
 d live electronic music in an open  dialogue—a kind of mesmerising syn
 aesthesia. They blend advanced technologies with more  tangible\\, handm
 ade approaches and gestures. \\nFor PANDA\\, Llull Machines shiJ from th
 e improvised abstractions of their earlier performances  towards a struc
 tured narrative. Dear Boy tells the story of a horned boy who encounters 
 a daisy\\,  freezes in contemplation\\, and then flies away on a metaphy
 sical adventure.\\nLlull Machines ist eine Kollaboration zwischen dem Mal
 er Danil Gertman und dem Klangkünstler Grundik Kasyansky (Tennota\\, Gru
 ndik + Slava\\, Staraya Derevnya). Als alte Freunde und gelegentliche Ban
 dkollegen waren beide an Performances und Publikationen des Kraut-Folk-Ko
 llektivs Staraya Derevnya beteiligt. Grundik und Danil gründeten Llull M
 achines\\, als sie erkannten\\, wie ähnlich ihre Werkzeuge und Strategie
 n für Live-Auftritte waren.\\nIhre Shows verbinden digitale Echtzeit-Zei
 chenanimation mit Live-Elektronikmusik in einem offenen Dialog — eine A
 rt betörende Synästhesie. Dabei verschmelzen sie fortschrittliche Techn
 ologien mit greifbareren\\, handgemachten Ansätzen und Gesten.\\nFür PA
 NDA bewegen sich Llull Machines von den improvisierten Abstraktionen ihre
 r früheren Auftritte hin zu einer strukturierten Erzählung. Dear Boy er
 zählt die Geschichte eines gehörnten Jungen\\, der einem Gänseblümche
 n begegnet\\, innehält in Kontemplation\\, und dann auf ein metaphysisch
