DESCRIPTION:Spend an afternoon learning about woody plants with ethnobiol
 ogist marc williams. This in-person intensive class begins with a present
 ation about major tree and shrub families. Then head outside on a plant w
 alk to learn how to identify woody trees and shrubs by their leaves\\, ba
 rk\\, flowers\\, fruit and growing conditions\\, and learn to spot charac
 teristic clues to determine the plant families to which they belong. Disc
 ussion will include common and obscure uses for woody plants that can sup
 port overall human health\\, well-being and sustenance\\, along with rela
 tionships between woody plants and fungi.\\nFee: $48\\; 20% discount for
