You do not need t o have everything figured out. In fact\\, questioning young people are ex plicitly welcome too. You can be ambitious\\, playful\\, uncertain\\, practica l\\, fantastical or somewhere in between.\\nMost importantly\\, the after noon is about creating something for yourself while spending time with ot her queer young people.\\nA Queer Space Without Pressure\\nActivate is ab out community as much as it is about activities. Therefore\\, the worksho p is also an opportunity to meet other LGBTQIA+ teens in Vienna in a supp ortive environment.\\nYou do not need to be outgoing or already know anyo ne at the club. You also do not need to be “\\;good at art”\\; to participate.\\nSimilarly\\, nobody has to share personal thoughts\\, e xplain their identity or show their finished work. Activate follows a sim ple principle for its workshops: everyone can participate\\, but nobody h as to.\\nSo\\, whether you want to spend the afternoon making an elaborat e vision board\\, quietly putting together a few pages\\, chatting with o ther people or simply seeing what the workshop is like\\, there is space for you.\\nWho Is Activate Queer Teen Club For?\\nActivate is specificall y created for young people aged 14–19.\\nThe club welcomes young people across the LGBTQIA+ spectrum\\, including people who are still exploring or questioning their gender or sexuality. Moreover\\, Activate explicitl y works against queerphobia\\, transphobia\\, biphobia\\, panphobia\\, ra cism\\, sexism and ableism.\\nYou do not need to have a particular label or prove that you belong. Instead\\, the aim is to create a space where q ueer young people can meet\\, try new things and experience community wit hout pressure.\\nWhat to Expect\\nThe session lasts three hours\\, from 1 4:00 until 17:00.\\nThe atmosphere is intended to be relaxed rather than competitive. Therefore\\, you can approach the activity in whatever way w orks for you.\\nYou can focus on making something\\, talk to other partic ipants or take things at your own pace. Additionally\\, you are welcome w hether this is your first Activate meeting or you have joined us before.\ \nAccessibility at Villa Vida Café\\nVilla Vida Café aims to make its s pace accessible to as many people as possible.\\nThe café has a step-fre e entrance via Linke Wienzeile\\, including a ramp and automatic door. An accessible toilet is available on the ground floor. The indoor café is also completely non-smoking.\\nAccessible indoor seating is available\\, and service animals are welcome at Villa Vida events.\\nIf you have acces s needs that could make attending more difficult\\, please let the organi sers know. Activate specifically encourages young people to communicate b arriers to participation so that the team can try to find a solution toge ther.\\nThe session will be held primarily in \\;English and German. Participants are welcome to speak whichever language they feel most comfo rtable using\\, and our supervisors usually speak additional languages. \ \nMeet This Month’\\;s Supervisors\\nThis September session will be supervised by Jamila (she/they) and Moiz (he/him).\\nThey will be there t hroughout the afternoon while participants scrapbook\\, imagine\\, create and spend time together.\\nActivate is built around community and safer- space principles.
