DESCRIPTION:The Theatre District Association of WNY is proud to announce 
 that longtime arts leader and children&#8217\\;s theatre pioneer Meg Quin
 n will be honored with a star on the Plaza of Stars\\, located in the hea
 rt of Buffalo&#8217\\;s Theatre District. The dedication ceremony will ta
 ke place on Monday\\, September 14th at 5:30 p.m. at Shea&#8217\\;s 710 T
 heatre. This exciting event will serve as the kickoff to Curtain Up! 2026
 \\,  Buffalo&#8217\\;s annual celebration of the official opening of the
  theatre season\\, on Friday\\, September 18.\\nA founding member of Thea
 tre of Youth (TOY) in 1972\\, Meg Quinn has devoted her career to creatin
 g inspiring theatre experiences for children. As Artistic Director for 28
  years\\, she helped build TOY into one of the region&#8217\\;s most resp
 ected cultural institutions\\, producing plays that spoke to &#8220\\;the
  wonders and worries in the world&#8221\\;. Her visionary leadership and 
 commitment to arts education have enriched the lives of generations of yo
 ung people and families throughout Western New York.\\nMeg holds a BFA in
  Theatre Arts from Daemen University and an MS in Creativity and Creative
  Problem Solving from Buffalo State University. She currently serves as a
  Trustee of Shea&#8217\\;s Performing Arts Center and volunteers as a rea
 ding tutor with Read to Succeed in Buffalo Public Schools.\\n&#8220\\;Meg
  Quinn has had an extraordinary impact on the cultural life of Western Ne
 w York\\,&#8221\\; said Lisa Ludwig\\, TDA board member. &#8220\\;Her lif
 elong dedication to creating meaningful theatre for young audiences has i
 nspired generations of children\\, artists\\, educators\\, and families. 
 We are thrilled to recognize her remarkable legacy with a star on the Pla
 za of Stars.&#8221\\;\\nThe public is invited to attend the ceremony at t
