DESCRIPTION:Hand &amp\\; Rod Puppetry 101 is a multi-session (Sept 28\\, 
 Oct 5\\, 12\\, and 19) introductory course designed to introduce the fund
 amental ideas and techniques behind hand and rod puppetry. Open to all ex
 perience levels\\, including those with no prior puppetry or performance 
 experience\\, Hand &amp\\; Rod Puppetry 101 introduces the foundational t
 echniques behind hand and rod puppetry\\, with a focus on the skills and 
 vocabulary used in our work. It lays the groundwork for how to approach p
 uppet animation\\, performance\\, and ensemble puppetry.\\nThroughout the
  class\\, students engage in exercises and explorations that build practi
 cal skills for puppet performance. These tools can be applied across a wi
 de range of puppetry styles and performance contexts\\, from solo to scri
 pted work and improvisation pieces.\\nThis class is designed for performe
 rs seeking continued puppetry training\\, as well as artists\\, educators
 \\, and anyone curious about exploring puppetry in a focused\\, low-press
 ure environment. No prior puppetry experience is required.\\nSkills cover
 ed in the class include:\\n– Breathe and focus\\n– Weight and resista
