  to readers all summer\\, and we are especially excited to host its autho
 r\\, Jake Rose\\, for an evening of poetry and conversation.\\nJOAN reim
 agines the consequential life of Joan of Arc within the context of a quee
 rness\\, in all its highs and heresies. Read alongside smut poet KD Sims
  and Lambda Literary Award finalist Joshua Garcia\\, expect a night of qu
 eer poetic prowess. \\nThe authors will be available after the event for
  a signing. Copies of JOAN will be available for purchase and our caf
 e will be open throughout the event.\\nHive Mind Books is a queer and tra
 ns bookstore and coffee shop in Bushwick\\, Brooklyn. We are located off
  of the Dekalb Ave (L)\\, Myrtle-Wyckoff (L/M)\\, and Knickerbocker (M) s
 ubway stations. Our coffee and tea bar will be open for the duration of
  this event.\\n*\\nJake Rose is a poet and artist based in California’s
  Central Valley. Their work has appeared in The Atlantic\\, the Academy 
 of American Poets\\, Foglifter\\, and elsewhere. Their debut collection\
 \, JOAN\\, winner of the Phoenix Emerging Poets Book Prize\\, was publis
 hed by the University of Chicago Press. They teach at UC Davis and co-edi
 t Vers.\\nKD Sims is a smut poet. Her work is featured in Stone of Madne
 ss Press\\, Dream Boy Book Club\\, Womanwood\\, an imprint of Cutt Press\
 \, Hooligan Magazine\\, and elsewhere. Sims’ debut poetry collection\\,
  I Cut My Nails for You\\, is published by Discount Guillotine. (Audiobo
 ok coming soon &#8230\\;)\\nJoshua Garcia is the author of Pentimento (
 Black Lawrence Press\\, 2024)\\, a finalist for a Lambda Literary Award a
 nd the Thom Gunn Award. His poems have appeared in Ecotone\\, The Georg
 ia Review\\, Passages North\\, Ploughshares\\, and elsewhere. He holds 
 an MFA from the College of Charleston and has received a Stadler Fellowsh
 ip from Bucknell University\\, an Emerge—Surface—Be Fellowship from T
 he Poetry Project\\, and support from the Hawthornden Foundation. He live
