 Let’s Go Birding Together) adventure!Let's Go Birding Together welcomes
  everyone in the LGBTQIA2+ community who is curious about nature\\, birds
 \\, and birding to come enjoy a free monthly nature walk together. Everyo
 ne deserves to spend time in nature without fear about their safety or wo
 ndering if they will be welcome and accepted. With a primary focus on com
 munity and connection\\, our walks offer space for everyone to experience
  the joys of nature in a safe\\, affirming\\, and inclusive space. Since 
 October 2021\\, Travis Audubon has been offering Let’s Go Birding Toget
 her (LGBT) walks nearly every month (we take a break during the hot summe
 r months). This allows us to witness the wonderful diversity of bird spec
 ies in Central Texas throughout the year\\, from colorful spring warblers
  and unassuming fall migrants to subtle winter beauties and stunning summ
 er residents\\, including our unofficial mascot\\, the stunning rainbow-c
 olored Painted Bunting. All walks are queer-led by a knowledgeable birder
 s with Travis Audubon. All experience levels are welcome\\, from those wh
 o are curious about nature to those who have been birding for years. All 
 ages are also welcome\\, from elders to youth (please note that anyone un
 der the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent\\, guardian\\, or paren
 tal figure). We ask folks under the age of 18 to please register themselv
 es and an adult to accompany them. This event is intended for the LGBTQ+ 
 community. If you require a service dog to attend\\, please let us know a
 nd we’ll collaborate with you on how to keep you both comfortable and h
 ydrated.\\nGENERAL INFO Location: Austin\\, TX. See below for notes on an
 cestral land. Parking: There are some flat gravel parking spaces\\, but n
 o designated ADA parking spaces. There is also parking along the gravel/c
 ompact grass shoulder of the park road. All parking is free. Pets: While 
 we love animals\\, we ask that furry friends who are not service animals 
 stay at home for this adventure. Tell them we said hi! Hike: 1 mile\\, 10
 0ft elevation gain Meet: September 20\\, 2026 Cost: This event is complet
 ely free to access!  We welcome donations of any amount\\, which help us
  continue to provide these programs.  We appreciate your support and you
