 llaborative performance-art group My Barbarian has performed internationa
 lly and has been the subject of many exhibitions and publications. His wo
 rk for opera include &#8220\\;Star Choir&#8221\\; (2023) with Alexandro S
 egade. He writes about art and the social world and is a professor of Vis
 ual Arts at UC San Diego\\, where he serves as PhD director. Over the las
 t decade\\, using the gay piano bar as inspiration\\, he&#8217\\;s done s
 olo music performances in venues in New York and LA (and in notable pande
 mic-era social media concerts) to express collective feelings about the m
