DESCRIPTION:The Safe Schools Program is an educational speaking and outre
 ach initiative where PFLAG NYC staff and community speakers visit element
 ary\\, middle\\, and high schools to promote understanding\\, equality\\,
  and inclusion. We&#8217\\;re always looking for dedicated volunteers who
  want to make a difference in the community by teaching kids that it&#821
 7\\;s okay to be exactly who they are.\\nWe need parents and family membe
 rs of LGBTQ+ people who want to share their stories about how and why the
 y support their LGBTQ+ loved ones. We also need LGBTQ+ speakers who are e
 xcited to speak about their own journeys of self-acceptance.\\nIf you&#82

 lick here to fill out the volunteer registration form. The form will ask 
 about your availability to attend one of our regularly scheduled *in-pers
 on* trainings held at the PFLAG NYC office that orient new volunteers to 
 the Safe Schools Program.\\nIf none of the dates listed work for you\\, w
 e are also available to provide one-on-one training for interested volunt
