 gdala’s PLEASURE DOME: CONTINUUM invited its featured artists to engage
  their personal histories and senses of pleasure through longer form show
 s that each create a unique experience of space-time. PLEASURE DOME recog
 nizes the radicalism of pursuing ecstasy in the face of adversity.\\nTick

 merges fashion\\, writing\\, installation\\, and time based media into im
 mersive audiovisual performances. She is also a 2026 SoMad artist-in-resi
 dence.\\nJulie J (October 7+8) is a drag queen\\, writer\\, and interdisc
 iplinary artist based in New York City. Julie J’s created work focuses 
 on cultural insertion\\, relationships between history and identity\\, an
 d the tactics of escape utilized by marginalized bodies.\\nfinal girl ‘
 98 (October 7+8)\\, AKA Maxi Hawkeye Canion\\, is a performance artist ba
 sed in Brooklyn\\, originally from El Paso\\, TX. Her series of works\\, 
 piloted by personas known as “doom mascots\\,” present as radical fan
 tasies\\, surreal disruptions\\, decomposing realities\\, and ruptures of
  so-called normalcy.\\nRuAfza (October 7+8) (she/her) is a multidisciplin
 ary artist and drag performer born in India and based in Lenapehoking/Bro
 oklyn. Her work explores the figure of the showgirl as a site of spectacl
 e\\, labor\\, and survival under capitalism\\, drawing on her trans\\, de
 si\\, and immigrant identity and her collaborative worldmaking in nightli
 fe spaces.\\nSelena Surreal* (October 7) is a Brooklyn-born\\, raised\\, 
 and based performance artist\\, drag apparition\\, showrunner\\, femcee\\
 , &amp\\; the only Black transfemme sideshow artist in NYC. Known as the 
 Serpent Siren of the Sideshow\\, she is the co-founder &amp\\; mother of 
 the Black Cherry Sideshow\\, the first all BIPOC\\, all Trans Circus Side
 show troupe in the history of the world.\\nDidi Opulence* (October 8) is 
 the most opulent doll—period. Her burlesque style combines old school g
 lamour with ‘90s sex appeal\\, all while teasing you with her sultry ey
 es.\\nAngel (November 18+19) is an experimental multidisciplinary artist 
 who bridges fashion\\, electronic music and performance art to explore th
 e complexities of her trans identity. Self-titled as ‘the transsexual t
 hat fell to earth\\,’ her identity is the sole shaper of her work\\, in
  which she strives to be provocative and politically charged\\, represent
 ing the trans community with the utmost pride.\\nTyler Ashley (November 1
 8+19)\\, AKA The Dauphine\\, is a dance\\, drag\\, and performance artist
 . High-energy numbers and sustained vamps on the mike are two of her sign
 ature skills out of a varied showgirl tool set.\\nThe Illustrious Pearl (
 November 18+19) AKA Wo Chan\\, is a poet and drag artist. She has perform
 ed widely as a member of the Brooklyn-based drag/burlesque collective Swi
 tch N’ Play.\\nC’était Bontemps* (November 18) is based in Brooklyn\
 \, NY\\, with a career spanning over thirteen years. C’était has been 
 featured in iconic lineups across the world\\, and the continued aim of t
 heir art and broader work is to platform trans art on as many stages as t
 hey’re able.\\nMocha* (November 19) is a NYC-based drag queen known for
  vibrant performances and dynamic presence in the city’s queer arts and
  nightlife scene. With roots in Brooklyn\\, Mocha combines theatricality\
 \, and musicality\\, captivating audiences with her unique blend of glamo
 ur and wit.\\n*Indicates featured\\, returning cast member from a previou
 s PLEASURE DOME\\nAccessibility and Admission\\nWe believe everyone shoul
