asterclass w/ Camille Litalien Awakening Character: Movement\\, Imaginat
 ion &amp\\; Transformation Date: Saturday\\, November 7th\\, 2026 Tim
 e: 10:30am - 1:30pm Location: ASK - The Arts Society of Kingston 97 Bro
adway\\, Kingston\\, NY 12401 Early Bird Pricing: $115 Regular Pricing:
$125 Workshop Description How does a character wake up in the body? I
n this masterclass\\, we will explore character emergence through Michael
  Chekhov’s psycho-physical approach\\, using Psychological Gesture\\, q
ualities of movement\\, and Imaginary Centers as gateways into the physic
al and imaginative life of a character. We will investigate how character
  can emerge through movement\\, imagination\\, sensation\\, impulse\\, an
d relationship. The workshop will begin with a Becoming Otherwise somati
 c practice\\, inviting participants to slow down\\, awaken sensation\\, a
nd cultivate an embodied state of listening. From this place\\, we will b
egin to explore the physical qualities and imaginative possibilities avai
lable within the body. The work will move between somatic practice\\, im
 agination\\, physical exploration\\, and character investigation\\, allow
ing participants to experience how the body can become a pathway into the
character's inner world. The intention is not to create a fixed physica
l “characterization\\,” but to develop a more responsive relationship
between body\\, imagination\\, impulse\\, and dramatic action so that ch
aracter can remain alive\\, surprising\\, and available in the moment. P
articipants should come prepared to move\\, explore\\, imagine\\, and wor
k physically. No previous experience with Michael Chekhov technique is re
quired. About Camille Litalien Camille Litalien is a movement educator\
\, somatic practitioner\\, and artist whose work explores the relationshi
p between body\\, imagination\\, sensation\\, and character. She is curre
ntly the Head of Movement at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New
York City\\, where she teaches movement and oversees the school’s move
ment faculty. Her teaching invites performers to experience the body not
simply as an instrument to be trained\\, but as a place of perception\\,
imagination\\, relationship\\, and transformation. She is particularly i
nterested in how physical sensations and images can open pathways into ch
aracter\\, allowing actors to discover choices rather than impose them.
Camille is also the creator of Becoming Otherwise\\, an evolving somatic
and imaginal practice exploring mindfulness\\, sensation\\, relational pr
esence\\, and creative transformation. Her teaching is grounded in curios
ity\\, play\\, rigor\\, and deep attention to the individual body and its
  unique ways of knowing. [/fusion_text][/fusion_builder_column][/fus
