DESCRIPTION:Join hundreds of volunteers to spend the evening preparing Th
 anksgiving side dishes for those experiencing hunger and homelessness in 
 our region – we’ll make Everything But The Turkey! Our program partne
 rs at DC Central Kitchen then add turkeys and distribute the meals to hom
 eless shelters\\, transitional housing facilities\\, and other social ser
 vice agencies in the District. Each table fits 8 people and no cooking ex
 perience is necessary. There are no age restrictions on participating\\, 
 but we do not recommend the Kickin’ Coleslaw\\, Yummy Yams\\, or Apple 
 Crumble recipes for younger children because they involve using knives\\,
  peelers\\, and graters.\\nPlease note that we request a tax-deductible d
 onation of $22 per person to cover the costs of this program in order to 
 ensure that we are able to purchase high quality ingredients.\\nQUESTIONS
