SUMMARY:LiTGays read THE LIVING REALM
DESCRIPTION:Hi Friends!\\nFor our inaugural book meet-up we will be readi
ng THE LIVING REALM by Jordan Tannahill (location TBD likely a brewery or
coffee shop in Anaheim) its a short book but packs a lot of punch in the
pages. see description below. It's fairly new and I have not seen it in
libraries yet- it would be a great one to go in and request as this keeps
the libraries funded and queer stories accessible to others.\\n**The fre
e host event only allows up to ten people to RSVP** however\\, **even if
it's full- it's not!** come on by or send me a message and I can give you
the additional info. looking forward to it!\\nSynopsis: While cruising o
ne evening by Teufelssee\\, a small glacial lake in the Grunewald forest
on the edge of Berlin\\, a man spots a handsome stranger who bears an unc
anny resemblance to his former lover. Only\\, Lukas died nearly thirty ye
ars ago. Yet the man cannot shake the feeling that it was really Lukas he
saw.\\nAlong with his friends\\, Gabor and Birgit\\, the man spends the
long\\, hot summer by the lake\\, observing the comings and goings of the
ir fellow nudists\\, as well as their beloved Elsa\\, a boar who lives al
ong its fringes. He also continues to encounter Lukas\\, and then other l
ost lovers as well. As he attempts to make sense of the strange occurrenc
es and learns more of Teufelssee\\, he finds himself venturing deeper int
o the mystery of the forest\\, leading him to question not just his sanit
y but the nature of time itself.\\nWritten with the lyricism and eruditio
n that have made Jordan Tannahill an internationally celebrated playwrigh
t\\, *The Living Realm* is a dreamlike novel of epic feeling\\, and an el
egy to the ways our lives become entangled with history\\, the natural wo
 rld\\, and those we love.\\nhttps://www.gayout.com/usa-canada/united-stat
