DESCRIPTION:Have you ever wondered what’s in the air we breathe and the
  water we drink\\, or why some communities face more pollution than other
 s? In the first session of our three-part lunch-and-learn series\\, we’
 ll explore the roots of environmental justice\\, what it means in everyda
 y life\\, and how it connects to climate change. The environment surround
 s us\\, from air and water quality to the resources and opportunities ava
 ilable in different communities. Together\\, we’ll explore environmenta
 l issues here in Colorado\\, including air quality after nearby wildfires
 \\, types of pollution and their effects\\, and why some folks and commun
 ities are more vulnerable to environmental hazards. We’ll wrap up our s
 ession by discussing practical ways to reduce exposure and how we can tak
 e action in our lives and communities.\\nDate/Time: Friday November 20th
