SUMMARY:Rising From the Ashes\\, a multigenerational gathering
DESCRIPTION:RSVP TO THIS EVENT HERE\\nThere is so much that can feel poss
ible when we take our narratives and lineages of resilience into our own
hands. In honor of Trans Day of Remembrance/Resilience join us for an eve
ning of music\\, poetry\\, and an multigenerational conversation moderate
d by the incredible Pauline Park\\, about the ways we stay grounded\\, co
nnected\\, and hopeful.\\nThe name Rising From the Ashes (Resurgiendo de
las Cenizas) is given to us by trans elder\\, Esmeralda.\\nSince 1978\\,
Sage has led the way in advocating for policies\\, services\\, and resour
ces that empower LGBTQ+ elders to live openly and authentically. Our dedi
cated team members work nationally and globally to protect our rights\\,
build health and longevity\\, and preserve the vibrancy of our community
as we age. \\nOften isolated from their immediate families\\, trans and
queer people are getting lost in the U.S. immigration system. The Trans a
nd Queer Community Fund supports trans and queer folks impacted and incar
cerated by ICE. The fund seeks to accommodate requests for Commissary\\,
 Communication\\, Legal Fees\\, and Re-entry Support.\\nProjectSEL is a me
ntal health support and resource hub for trans &amp\\; queer immigrants i
n New York City.\\nThe Bureau of General Services—Queer Division is Man
hattan’s only queer bookstore\\, located on the second floor of the LGB
 T Center. We’re open Tuesday-Sunday from 1-7pm and accessible by the 6t
 h Ave 1 2 3 L trains and 8th Ave A C E trains. Our cafe\\, The Bureau Caf
 e\\, is open Tuesday-Sunday from 9am-7pm.\\nhttps://www.gayout.com/usa-ca
