SUMMARY:Give to the Max Day with Quatrefoil Library
DESCRIPTION:Quatrefoil Library is celebrating its 40th Birthday this year
. That is four decades of volunteers stewarding consistent access to sto
 ries\\, histories\\, and connections\\, all made by\\, for\\, and about t
he LGBTQIA+ community. Starting from 1\\,300 materials in circulation in
1986\\, our librarians have now curated a collection of over 26\\,000 uni
que items\\, and we have no plans of stopping there. \\nCensorship has b
een and continues to be a threat to our community\\, and Quatrefoil Libra
ry is meeting the need as more people are looking for access to free digi
tal and physical spaces where they can go without fear of judgement\\, ce
nsorship\\, or the need to hide who they are. Just since January 1st of
this year\\, the Library has welcomed an unprecedented 7\\,000 new card-c
arrying members from across Minnesota\\, the United States\\, and now\\,
the world. All of this is possible because of the tireless hard work and
enthusiasm of our many volunteers\\, but also because of the decades of
love and trust that our supporters have built and shared under the name Q
uatrefoil Library. \\nWe are growing: in size\\, reach\\, and experience.
To keep this momentum going\\, to honor the legacy passed on by all who
came before us\\, to protect the access and experience of our longtime su
pporters\\, and to meet the needs of our new members and of all the peopl
e who haven’t found us yet\\, we need your support. Please consider do
nating to Quatrefoil this Give to the Max Day to help us celebrate the pa
st four decades of community access and to help us prepare for the decade
 s to come. https://www.givemn.org/organization/Quatrefoil-Library\\nhttps
