BT Foundation’s Pride in Ageing programme is bringing different generat
ions of LGBTQ+ readers together every 6 weeks to discuss great LGBTQ+ rea
ds. The group began in 2024 by reading Armistead Maupin’s much-loved se
ries ‘Tales of the City’ – yes all 10 books!\\nAt our meetings we w
ill be discussing books by older LGBTQ+ authors\\, books which feature st
ory-lines about older LGBTQ+ characters (as well as younger ones!) and wr
iters who use humour in their exploration of LGBTQ+ issues. If this sound
s of interest to you please do join us!\\nThis event is open to anyone ag
ed 18+\\, and the book club meets in person at LGBT Foundation’s Commun
ity Hub at Fairbairn House. To be part of this session\\, please book a t
icket via the link at the top of the page and read the book before the ev
ent.\\nIf you would like our reading list for upcoming sessions please em
ail [email protected]. We try to choose books that are available widely f
rom libraries and to buy – and those that are available too online as a
n e-book or audio-book. Sometimes we may be able to offer the books as a
loan in the weeks leading up to the meetings. If you are having issues ge
tting hold of a book please let us know.\\nThis event has been produced b
y the Pride in Ageing programme at LGBT Foundation. If you have any quest
ions about accessing this event please contact [email protected].\\nhttps
