SUMMARY:Electric Hotpot: DJ Big Sir
DESCRIPTION:Thursday\\, November 19\\, 2026\\n← Back to Artists\\nHi ga
y!\\nWelcome to Queer Dance Philly\\, your cheat sheet for finding the ne
xt move.\\nQueer Dance Philly pieces together queer DJs\\, artists\\, dan
ce parties\\, and venues across Philadelphia\\nso you can spend less time
searching and more time dancing. It’s intended for discovery: everythi
ng\\nfrom lesbian and POC-centered dance parties to gay club nights to tr
ans-centered raves. The wider\\nPhilly dance scene is included too\\, wit
h a stronger focus on venues that have a history of booking\\nqueer artis
ts or holding events curated for the LGBTQ+ community.\\nFind the next mo
ve\\nThe calendar includes events curated specifically for the queer comm
unity alongside other dance\\nnights of interest. Purple events highlight
queer events\\, while rainbow and trans flags indicate\\nqueer and trans
artists on the lineup.\\nTap an event for its flyer\\, lineup\\, locatio
n\\, and more information. Browse dates by swiping\\, using\\nthe arrows\
\, or tapping the date in the upper-left corner.\\nDiscover more\\nPhilad
elphia’s dance music scene is wide and sprawling\\, with a host of quee
r artists playing\\nsignificant roles in several different scenes. My hop
e (and the reason this calendar exists) is\\nthat the calendar will be us
ed to help you discover artists\\, parties\\, and sounds that you might\\
notherwise miss.\\nThis is where the event archive comes into play.\\nTap
on Discover to browse artists\\,\\nparties\\,\\nvenues\\, and\\ncollecti
 ves - see past events\\, who’s playing\\nwith who\\, and where. The que
er community thrives best through its ability to find strength in\\nconne
ction\\, and Queer Dance Philly seeks to make those connections more visi
ble.\\nMelt\\nQDP is also the force behind Melt\\,\\na sexy\\, sapphic da
nce party built around the concepts of\\ngroove\\, glimmer\\, and grind.
 See\\n@melt.phl\\non Instagram for details.\\nBehind QDP\\nI started the
Queer Dance Philly\\nInstagram account\\nin early 2025 solely so I could
find new dance parties without my main feed getting clogged up.\\nThe dan
ce floor is a place where I always felt at home\\, and I wanted other peo
ple to find that\\nsame sense of home as well. The idea caught on\\, I st
arted sharing the events I found\\, and over\\ntime Queer Dance Philly wa
s born.\\nIt is very much a homegrown operation. I’m finding these even
ts myself\\, talking to organizers\\,\\nand reaching out to artists direc
tly to make sure they’re okay with being identified as a queer\\nor tra
ns artist. I do all the graphic design as well.\\nIt is a labor of love\\
, an act of service to the community that sustains me\\, and something I
am\\nvery grateful to be able to contribute.\\nIf your event’s not list
ed but you think it’s a good fit for the calendar\\, the best way to ha
ve it\\nincluded is to forward the Instagram event post to me\\; this way
I can share it on the day of the\\nevent. There’s a “Submit Event”
\\nform\\non the menu as well. For any other corrections or inquiries\\,
shoot me an email at\\n[email protected].\\nSee you out there!\\nCallaia\

night built\\naround groove\\, glimmer\\, and grind. Intimate without be
ing slow and sexy\\nwithout being performative\\, it’s a space for givi
ng yourself permission\\nto dance close\\, be bold\\, and see where the n
ight takes you.\\nExpect funky house basslines\\, glitchy electronica\\,
and physical club\\nrhythms in a high-energy night that’s sure to leave
you spent.\\nThe night is what you make it.\\n@melt.phl on Instagram\\nS
