Bogotá has a solid hotel market, and the options most relevant to LGBTQ+ travelers are concentrated in Chapinero, Zona Rosa (the upscale commercial district), and the Parque 93 area. Hotels in these neighborhoods are uniformly welcoming to same-sex couples and are well-positioned for the gay scene and the city's better restaurants and bars.
Where to stay
Chapinero is the obvious choice for proximity to the LGBTQ+ scene. Hotels and guesthouses in the neighborhood range from budget to mid-range. The area is well-connected by TransMilenio and Uber.
Zona Rosa and the Parque 93 area are the upscale alternatives — international business hotels, better-than-average restaurants, and a generally polished neighborhood feel. These are further from the gay venues in Chapinero but offer a higher base level of security and service, and Uber makes the distance trivial.
The historic La Candelaria neighborhood in the center is atmospheric and cheap but requires more awareness of surroundings and is further from the gay scene. It suits travelers who prioritize colonial architecture and museum proximity over nightlife access.
