Great bar with a neighborhood style feel. I personally am always in the mood for a beer when I’m here, but their house-brand Tequila called their “Frida’s Tequila” is smooth and punches far above its class. Another great part is there is plenty of outdoor seating. On a winter day puerto vallarta is the perfect place to sit outside and enjoy the fresh air. If you’re a poutine lover or love pub grub, I’ve got great news for you. Their hamburgers, wings and poutine (based on some good gravy, truly the heart of the magic) are fantastic. For the tourists, don’t worry about the language barrier, every single bartender knows English and will make sure your order is correct whether the bar directly or they’ll work with the kitchen to make sure you’re doing great. Being east of the main road/200 you’ll get a mix of locals and tourists. And the prices? Fair. This is not a rip off bar, stay away from the ocean and you’ll avoid getting ripped off. Major Credit cards accepted. Lastly if you come on just the right day you might even see Frida Kahlo grace the bar (Note: This may be an actor)

My wife and I always make it a point to visit Frida's while in Puerto Vallarta, and very much enjoy the excellent service, great food and drinks, and entertainment (live and music videos). The owner and management are always very helpful and kind, the staff is very attentive, and the prices are very reasonable and less expensive than you would think. We highly recommend you give Frida's a try, and be sure to check their Facebook for updates on live music, karaoke, bingo, etc. You can always find friendly people to meet at this gem in the Old Town section of Puerto Vallarta :)

Since the separation of the old restaurant there have been adjustments to the menu and things seems to going very well. I recently had the new shrimp cocktail offering. The in house made cocktail sauce is perfect and flavorful. The new chili is amazing. Not too hot but so much flavor. Give them a try. Along with their 2 happy hours and daily drink specials. This is the place to go.
