We had a great experience at this hotel. We were able to check in a few minutes early to sleep before going to the carnival parade. The next morning we slept for four hours until check out. We were able to get a one hour later checkout for free. If you need, you can extend check out even longer for a fee. I recommend this hotel. Very clean room and lobby. Very friendly staff. Oh, one more important detail. You can store your luggage there until check in or after check out if your flight is later in the day.
Visited from Toronto, Canada This is a very nice & well equipped hotel right on Paulista Avenue (heart of the city). This hotel has everything you need for a great stay. Really enjoyed their heated pool & Sauna facilities. Front desk staff can be a little more friendly / helpful though. Overall excellent place to stay.
Hard to believe this is a 5 star hotel! Room not great at 7th floor rather small with a bit cheap materials. Swimming pool inside not very big and so was fitness center. Breakfast ok though with omelette station etc. Expensive rooms as well and over all not worth the price
Really awesome hotel. Loved my stay. Wish I could have stayed longer.
The Meliã Paulista gives the impression of an old-style hotel that would greatly benefit from a thorough renovation. The common areas are small and furnished in a dated style, while the corridors convey a rather sad and unwelcoming atmosphere. The rooms are bare and monotonous: white walls without decorations, essential furnishings, and an overall sense of dullness. They have no personality. Not even a session with Freud would be able to find one. Breakfast is equally disappointing: the presentation is uninspired, the selection limited, and the quality of the products far below the expectations of a five-star hotel. A modern breakfast, especially in a luxury property, should highlight local bakery and pastry products, high-quality cured meats and cheeses, fresh and healthy options, as well as an inclusive offering with refined vegetarian and vegan alternatives. The only real strengths remain the location (extremely central and convenient) and the kindness of the staff. Beyond that, the experience falls short of what one would expect from a hotel of this category.
