Olympic Beach Gym — long known by its previous name Julios — occupies 800 square metres across two floors on the Paseo Costa Canaria, the seafront promenade of Playa del Inglés. The scale puts it well above the typical tourist gym. The equipment covers all the expected ground: full cardio deck, free weights, machines, spinning. A matted area with a boxing bag gives the place a slightly more serious atmosphere than its holiday location might suggest. Post-workout there is an in-house sauna and massage service. Day passes, three-day passes, and weekly rates are all available, which suits the visiting crowd that cycles through Maspalomas. The gym attracts a good share of the regular gay tourist circuit.
