Courtyard by Marriott Tampere City

Solid stay in a great location, but with a few quirks. Overall, a good experience right in the heart of Tampere. The city center location is fantastic and incredibly convenient, and the breakfast was genuinely good—a great way to start the morning. A few practical things to note: parking is an extra fee. They do offer free EV charging, which sounds like a great perk, but there is only one socket available, so good luck snagging it! The service was just average. I asked a question through the Marriott Bonvoy app chat and never received a reply, which was a bit disappointing for a Marriott property. Fun fact: they claim to "save nature" by only cleaning the rooms every 3rd day. Makes you wonder—is it really to fight climate change, or just cost optimization? 😊 All in all, a nice hotel with a great location, but there is some room for minor improvements.

Nothing special but everything worked perfectly fine. Check-in process was super fast. Rooms were clean enough. Breakfast was sufficient and there was space available around 7.10. Location is quite good. I also checked gym but is was way too small and crowded.

Modern and clean. I liked the rooms and bed. I missed some small floor lobby, where one could make business calls etc. The main lobby was fine though for this purpose. Breakfast was the biggest let down... it was very basic Also instead of local curiosity (black sausage), I would have liked to have something more all-around like Karelian rice pasty, if something Finnish is to be served. City centre is about 15min walk.

15mim walk from the train station. Rooms are large by European standards. Decent breakfast. Usual restrictions on climate control and water temp settings. Water pressure in the shower is a bit of a challenge.

The hotel is fine and what you’d expect of a Courtyard. Shame that there is no sauna, one cannot open the bedroom windows. Also it would have been nice to have been told upon check in that room cleaning only happened every 4th(?) day.
