In February 2024 parliament passed the "Promotion of Proper Human Sexual Rights and Ghanaian Family Values Bill" introducing penalties of up to 5 years for identifying as LGBTQ+ and up to 10 years for advocacy. Enforcement is uneven but real, and social attitudes are hostile in most contexts. This venue is not an openly gay venue. No openly gay establishments operate publicly in Ghana.
