I have stayed at a lot of hotels in my life. This is without a doubt the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at. My fiancé and I visited for 3 nights and this hotel exceeded our already high expectations. Here’s just a few examples of how perfect the service was > I mentioned on an excursion that I really enjoyed the smoked trout from our first lunch > it magically appeared at lunch that day. We enjoyed a special local passionfruit > 2 of them appeared in the fruit basket the next morning. We enjoyed a local wine on our first lunch > a bottle appeared in our room on day 2 post excursion. This was the constant theme all trip - you were taken care of and able to turn your brain off to just enjoy. The entire experience is so well designed. It’s built for pure relaxation and experiencing the local culture and natural beauty. The team was always 2-3 steps ahead of us anticipating our needs. Everything was already thought out. If we ever wanted to change a plan, it was easy and the staff pivoted quickly. Nadel picked us up right from the airport and spent the drive teaching us all about the landscapes, agriculture, animals and cultural traditions. It was a super entertaining ride and we were very well taken care of with thoughtful snacks and breaks to take photos and see animals up close. Once we arrived, it didn’t feel like a check in but instead like we were welcomed back to a friends vacation home. We were walked right over to our room, given a quick rundown of the must knows and given time to relax before lunch. The rooms are gorgeous, they’re spacious with fantastic views and really thoughtful design and amenities. After lunch, we met our amazing guide Yuli who walked us through all the excursions. We built an itinerary together, with her expert guidance and our input on what we really wanted to do. The excursions were amazing, we did condors & geysers, horseback riding, and the fortress hike. We felt comfortable setting our own pace as we adjusted to the altitude and had a dedicated guide and driver for our whole stay. The food was fantastic. Extremely fresh and very healthy, I’ve never felt better leaving a trip. Every meal was a multi course well thought out tasting menu, but with none of the stuffiness that usually comes from tasting menu experiences. Every meal had a story and was an experience in its own right. Turndown service exceeded anything I’ve ever seen before. Small local and thoughtful gifts, notes, tea, warm water bottles, and a refreshed room every evening. Everything was included during our stay. Want a drink on your patio? Just whatsapp them and it appeared 5 minutes later. Included in your room rate already. No up charges. Just a fair price for extremely thorough and high quality service and experience. We planned our Peru trip around this hotel and I would go back in a heartbeat. Thank you for a fantastic stay.

I can’t say enough good things about our stay at Puqio Hotel. From the moment we arrived, we were treated with such warmth and attention that it felt more like visiting close friends than staying at a hotel. The staff here go above and beyond in every way—whether it was helping us arrange last-minute tours, customizing breakfast to our tastes, or simply checking in to make sure we were comfortable, their care and professionalism stood out at every turn. The hotel itself is beautifully designed—modern and stylish, yet perfectly integrated with the stunning natural surroundings of Colca Valley. The rooms were spotless, cozy, and quiet, with lovely touches that made it feel like a boutique experience. But truly, it’s the exceptional service that makes Puqio Hotel unforgettable. Everyone we interacted with was genuinely kind, knowledgeable about the region, and eager to make our experience memorable. We left feeling recharged, inspired, and incredibly grateful. Excellent hospitality by the staff. We got to choose our activities everyday, with enthusiastic guides who took us to fascinating places around Puqio. Food was very fresh- I remember so vividly the most exquisite grilled trout for dinner. All in all, this place offered an exquisite experience.

Our stay at @puqio_andean was one of those experiences that stays with you long after you leave. It’s on the same level as @titilaka_andean, yet nothing feels the same — everything is a surprise. The attention to detail and the care put into every aspect of our time there is unlike anything I’ve experienced before. And it all comes with a genuine warmth and a laid-back vibe that’s hard to put into words. The design of the rooms and the main living-dining area is some of the most exquisite I’ve ever seen — refined without being pretentious, warm, and deeply inspiring. Every night, a small handmade gift is left in your room. One of those thoughtful gestures that makes you feel truly cared for. One of the highlights was undoubtedly the dinners. Beyond the beautifully set table and the meticulous attention to every detail (something we had already witnessed in previous experiences with @_andean), what stood out the most was the concept behind each meal. There’s no traditional menu — every dinner is called a celebration. Each night honors a specific ingredient or cooking method. During our stay, we experienced the celebration of quinoa, squash, and puchero. Puchero is a traditional Peruvian dish made with slowly boiled meats and a variety of vegetables, typically served with broth (similar to the Spanish cocido). Having such a familiar dish served in such an elevated setting isn’t something you see every day. To me, it’s a perfect reflection of what @_andean represents. And as if that wasn’t enough, every dinner begins with incredible (really, really incredible!!) homemade bread and flavoured butter that change every day. The excursions from Puqio were just as special. We did two hikes, one bike ride, and one horseback ride — all of them stunning in different ways. Two of these adventures ended with a spectacular picnic in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by nature and silence. Another example of how every moment at Puqio is carefully thought out, yet feels effortlessly magical. After a day out exploring, you can soak in one of the two wooden hot tubs overlooking the valley — a perfect way to wind down while taking in the landscape in silence.
