No openly gay venues operate in Egypt. The scene is entirely underground. If you visit: • Do NOT use LGBTQ+ dating apps while in Egypt. Multiple foreigners have been arrested via Grindr. • Be extremely discreet in all public contexts. • Stay at international-chain hotels. • Memorise Bedayaa's emergency line (the Egyptian LGBTQ+ rights group operating from abroad). • Don't post LGBTQ+ content on social media accessible to authorities.
