Cape Town Pride takes place each February in the Mother City, where the De Waterkant neighbourhood is one of Africa's most established queer districts. The February timing means brilliant summer weather — the parade and street parties happen in glorious sunshine, and the surrounding festival spans nearly two weeks. Cape Town's mix of natural beauty, world-class restaurants, and open queer culture makes it one of Africa's most compelling LGBTQ+ destinations.
