I would like to advise everyone who is looking for accommodation in Hong Kong to filter out all the rooms in Chungking Mansions, no matter how good the price is. I gave this one star because it can only get one star at the lowest. Not to mention the complicated population on the first floor. Of course, if you like exotic cuisine, you can try it. Moreover, the terrain is also complicated. After many twists and turns, we went upstairs and found that the name of the hotel was different from the one on the website. Then, we originally booked a six-person room online, but because some of us could not come at the last minute, it was changed to a four-person room. He changed it to a four-person room without asking or informing us. We can understand this, but when the door opened, we were dumbfounded! The 10-square-foot toilet on the left looked like you had to sit on the toilet to shower. The water heater overhead made you feel like you could get carbon monoxide poisoning at any moment. The room, about 15 square feet, was crammed with two double beds. The old window above and the broken mood lighting on the wall made me nervous. The distance between the bed and the door was so small that even a suitcase couldn't be opened. The soundproofing was extremely poor, and the footsteps of people outside could be clearly heard. The completely unsafe lock was worrying. At that point, I didn't care that the hotel wouldn't refund my money and just wanted to get out of there as soon as possible. Later, when we had the opportunity to talk to local Hong Kong people about our previous stay there, they all laughed and politely said it was truly unsafe and advised us not to even consider it, whether for tourism or business! !!!!!!!!! (Those pictures are literally 200 years old!!!)

I booked in advance and we travel from USA to Hongkong and when we get there they cancelled our room and they want more money. This is scam and fraud! The guy is rude nasty unprofessional and he doesn’t know to talk to a human being. The place is sooo dirty, stinks, loud, unsafe, and dangerous to sleep. I hope it will not happen to those people like us who’s planning to book or stay in this place. It’s not worth. They never refund our money and I’m still dealing now from the company where I booked (Expedia). The Leisure Hostel blaming to Expedia and that’s funny. No cancellation on the website and the guy trying to trick us to pay more instead. We’re not stupid to do this! Please don’t be a victim of scammers!!! Also please don’t go by the pictures they post on the website because that’s not real when u go to the place! It’s totally different you will shocked!!!

When myself and my family came in with our confirmation number. The receptionist said that our booking was canceled (which we never cancel) and that we had to contact Expedia because it was their fault. He mentioned that there were no rooms available but that he could accommodate us in a room for a higher price that we paid already using Expedia, making this a COMPLETE SCAM. The receptionist had our information and everything matched our booking but he kept blaming Expedia for all the inconvenience. It was a little bit after midnight when we got there, because we also had to find the floor number and people in the same building DOES NOT KNOW the LEISURE HOSTEL making us waste time by calling the hostel (no answer), asking for the floor number (this is a tall building), looking at the directory and no location. We are all tired but even so the receptionist denied our booking and left us there in the hostel lobby. Plain and simple, AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS, IT IS A SCAM AND IT WILL ALWAYS BE A SCAM, SAVE YOUR MONEY, TIME, PATIENCE AND PERSONAL INFORMATION WHEN DEALING WITH THIS "LEISURE HOSTEL".
