Komagome Kenkō Center (Komaken)

As a westerner who likes older guys (60+) this was a bit daunting at first but well worth the trip. I went twice in successive days. Just follow the usual rules (shoes off on entry and leave in a box for 10 yen) then pay at the vending machine. The guy on the front desk was very helpful choosing the correct button to press. Just be respectful and you’ll have a great time. The place is full of grandpas. Unlike any western sauna, but then that’s also part of the fun of being in a foreign country.

A men-only public bathhouse and lodging facility. Bathing (until midnight) costs 2,200 yen, sleeping in a dormitory for one night (until 1:00 PM the next day) costs 2,700 yen, and private rooms are an additional charge. Food is allowed. There have been incidents of guests dying. The rooftop solarium is open only in the summer, from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM. I went there a few years ago. It was great. I'm thinking of going back again after a long time. Can I enter the private rooms in the evening? How much does it cost? I went there for the first time in years around summer, and the guy at the reception desk was really scary! When I bought a ticket for an overnight stay, he muttered something about it. I didn't like it because the lockers were nearby. The guy with glasses was nice. The big guy there in the morning was very friendly.

"Grandpa's Harajuku 👨🏼‍🦳 Komaken" Yesterday (10/20), I visited "Komaken" for the first time 💁‍♀️ I'd heard rumors about it, but 😳 it was about 80% elderly men 👨🏼‍🦳 (no women at all...) The scary thing about the Showa era gay scene ♨️😱 The ☝️ at the entrance obliquely reads "members only"! 😝 The shoe lockers are ¥10, but they're confiscated, not ↩️. 😫 The entrance fee is ¥2,200 (until midnight during breaks) (They accept cashless payments, so you'll need cash❗️) In exchange for the shoe locker 🔑, you get a locker 🔑, a towel set, and indoor wear. It's given to you 🤲 ♨️ is on the second floor and has a large bathtub, a 💦 bath, and the old-fashioned radon bath ♨️ And a high-temperature bath 🧖 and the rumored steam bath 🧖 (it's always crowded). Can women enter? Is there a sauna?

The pricing, the lottery, the price of drinks on sale, the cleanliness of the baths, and the fact that you can bring in non-alcoholic food and drinks - everything is very reasonable❗It's no wonder that older people flock here.

It's always so clean and tidy whenever I go there; it's a really relaxing place.

Can I apply if I'm in my 30s?
