It only a glorified back packers Not what they sell online page Would only pay $70 This is a scam of a place and before I went in I asked for refund on both nights and was refused It’s very sad and disappointing Make sure you don’t get the front room next to main door to rest of complex you won’t sleep or eat can’t use patio unless you like been looked at by everyone walking past or entering the place Very run down Musty old appliance and low low grade coffee and soaps Don’t use this place unless they have paid quater the price It’s like a bad back packers looks like they have gone to salvation Army bins For linen beds appliances there is nothing in the room. It wouldn’t be close to 30 years old.

Charming little hotel, truly lovely with a warm welcome. Breakfast was really good, with freshly cooked dishes available upon request.

Excellent hosts, great location, and charming accommodations! For anyone visiting Auckland and wanting a more authentic experience than the CBD, the Ponsonby neighborhood is a great place to stay, and The Great Ponsonby Hotel is an amazing way to experience the area! The complimentary breakfast is well stocked and exceptionally tasty!

What a gem of a place! Charming, immaculate, comfy, and cosy. Super friendly hosts, a delicious breakfast, delightful rooms, gorgeous location. Couldn’t have asked for a better start to our holiday.

See you again! ==================================================== Awesome establishment! our stay was nothing but good. The breakfast sessions was a gathering of people from all over the world. Excellent conversations indeed. Overall clean, comfortable premise, decorated with pasifika and local arts and friendly polite staff. Cafes, shops and more eateries only a few mins walk. Auckland CBD is a good downhill walk. Totally recommend.

The room was small, but the location was great. These are the kinds of places you should stay in Auckland; anything too close to the city center is too chaotic.

This is the perfect place to stay if you enjoy a homey vibe and want an authentic New Zealand experience. I wouldn’t have wanted to stay at any other place in Auckland. Breakfast was plentiful. They are eco friendly and just a great place to stay.

Very home-like environment with rooms complete with tea & coffee. Extremely good water pressure. Quote neighborhood and walking distance to bars, restaurants & shops. It's an ideal location

Cute little place, great location, off-st parking, nice breakfast, a free drink, good staff, clean room, comfy bed, nice colours and art, nice other guests, would stay again, highly recommend.
