ProGay Philippines

The Progressive Organization of Gays in the Philippines (ProGay Philippines) is a pioneering LGBTQ+ rights group that, together with the Metropolitan Community Church, co-organised the first Pride march in Asia in Manila on 26 June 1994. Rooted in the city's activist history, ProGay campaigns on labour, human-rights, and social-justice issues affecting LGBTQ+ Filipinos. It remains a heritage advocacy voice tied to Manila's role as the birthplace of the region's Pride movement.
